avg 600cc bike runs the 1/4 mile in 10 seconds...the ninja 250 do so in mid 14's i think...so add on 4 seconds to the avg car nowadays and you've got a Geo Metro

Ninja 650 or an EX500 are good bikes to start
and it might take you more than 8 days before you want MORE.

I really like the ninja and its price. I was wondering, can two people sit on it? lol.

Used Harley Sprtsters run about $4-5K, if you are looking for something besides a crotch-rocket. The 883 runs about $6500 brand new.
+1 on the motorcycle training course. You spend a few nights in class learning (just like for a performance driving school) then spend a grueling Saturday on a course putting theory into practice. You use their bikes, their helmets (if you want) so you can drop things, skid their tires flat, and when you pass the course all you have to do is apply for your M license, at least here in Cali. That way you avoid the terror of the dreaded "lollipop" at the DMV motorcycle test. |
