Weird that it still changes the language even after auto login… my only suspicion could be if you enter the car with both your phone AND your key at the same time. If you do this, do you have both your phone and key linked to the car? Maybe there’s some kind of conflict between the two “keys” (this is just a wild guess). Doing this resolved it for me. Additionally, if you have an Apple Watch, then I suggest adding that to the car as well, just in case the watch is able to communicate with the car before the physical key or the phone via proximity.

As for the shortcut to change the language, yes there is! If you go to main “system settings” (einstellungen) then scroll down to the language button, and tap and hold that button, without actually entering in the language menu.

Back to original question. App says update blocked. Charge starter battery.
I have charged it twice with a fully automatic agm charger and a full day with a float charger. Both at the under hood terminals.

I also drove it 72 miles.

What a love hate relationship. The ASS isn't a problem. The tran is good for me except uplifting in sport where I fight the tran to keep rpm below 3000. This is my second DCT tran car so I expect abrupt uplifts.

The torque steer should have been designed out of this car. 1988 Taurus SHO no ts. 2015 AMG GLA 45 no ts.

AWD doesn't kick in fast enough to prevent ts.

Cheapening the inside of the car doesn't bother me but ID9 is something else. My other car 2021 MS Plaid isn't perfect but is a decade ahead of BMW.

Just my thoughts and frustrations. Be gentle.

Figured out the problem with the software refusal to download. I drove 10 miles without a radar detector and when I got home the car allowed the software download. Although the detector doesn't draw much the car seems to be sensitive to the load and refuses the update.

In the end the car prompted me to install and it is now installed 07/2024.40 version

My 2023 X1 23d was in dealership due to a engine management warning light. Turned out to be a faulty DPF sensor. Vehicle went in with 03/2024 and came back with 07/2024.64.

I never received notification for over the air update prior to this. UK car.

Can’t see any option for Parking Assistant Professional even though I have Driving Assistant Professional 5AU, Parking Assistant Plus 5DN and Comfort Access 322. Also have Tech Plus Pack 7EW. Will this feature be available to 2023 models?

Took a few days to appear on my 24 plate iX1 as an option.

According to BMW DE website, it's only available for X1/X2 with production from 03/2024...

I read in someone else’s post they thought the auto start/stop has improved with this update. I feel like mine might not be prematurely stopping as much now (ie now doesn’t turn off unless I’ve come to complete stop).

Am I imagining this or do others find the same ?

Is this because it’s not technically feasible due to lack of physical hardware in 2023 models or is BMW just trying to p*** off owners? I’d be happy to pay for it if they want my money.

This is quite annoying, mine is a 02/2024 model.. so close. I also have the Driving Assist Professional and Parking Assist Plus, but they just don't want my money

Remote Camera View is currently no longer working for me, stuck on Step 1 (Waking vehicle) while other remote functions work fine.

I had this issue and had to reboot the system manually (hold down the volume scroll button on the arm console for 30s) and it worked.

Remote Camera started working again a few months ago and is still working today.

On the bright side, something new popped up today for me in the remote parking app: the option to go out of a parking spot.

Sadly it disappears most of the time after briefly showing up in the app. Anyone that was able to try this?

Nope. the 7/2024.40 became available & was installed in my November 2023 built 2024 x1 28i for in very early October. Prior to then, UPDATE 3/2024.40 was installed on May 2, 2024 to my x1.

I’m in NY as well.

I’ll have to ask the dealer again. They refused to flash the update last time I was in (for an unrelated issue) since there wasn’t a documented problem… kinda BS excuse in my opinion but I get it. I always see everyone on here having their dealer run an update no problem so i was surprised.

The larest 7/2024 update had several software enhancements & a few additions if you are paying for Digital Premium.
Push for them to do it for free or to explain why your vehicle was not upgraded.

Also, it might be worthwhile saying that there are a few people within this forum that have mentioned the 11/2024 came out for some ID9’s. I do not expect to see it available to install for a few months.
