One of my favorite posts during 2024. It's like being there and helping install all these parts. I finally reached a series of photos with Brembo brakes.

These brakes are a testament to the expression that there is no such thing as over-engineered brakes. Great choice.

Phenomenal outcome. Thank you for sharing!

It's impossible to say how impressed I am with your restoration. The E38 was the pinnacle of modern BMW design imho.

Absolutely stunning restoration. You may have spent half the cost of a new 7 Series, but ended up with something much more unique and valuable IMO. Well done.

Back in 2002, my then girlfriend’s mom bought one of these, it was forest green with tan interior and to this day it’s the smoothest and nicest riding car I’ve ever been in my life. Absolutely gorgeous. Congrats.

Lots of memories triggered with this build for a lot of people. This was the best big car in its day!

I agree super smooth and rides amazing! Better than many of the big sedans in this decade.

I was scrolling through enjoying the hell out of this thread and this damn app ruined it by barely uploading any images. When has it gotten to become so unreliable? It’s happening more and more

thanks, the car will be getting the stereo system sorted out next, mechanically right now perfect zero issues.

Brakes upgraded and done
Wheel and tires sorted
Suspension updated and upgraded
Top end valve cover service done
Valley pan done
oil done
trans service done

The ultimate goal would be to do a glass out paint job on the car hopefully next season.

Bestest looking 7 series ever whose design did a sterling job of hiding its proportions.

Amazing job! You almost remanufactured the whole car. Just when I was thinking that I am done fixing cars that I find, this made me want to go on a hunt for a new project. Congrats brother!
