What material is the dashboard?
I can’t believe I’m struggling to find this - but is it real leather? Pleather like the veganza seats?
I tried searching this forum and online and cannot find a direct answer. I am trying to figure out what to clean it with and if I should be conditioning it. I used maguire’s interior cleaner wipes and it went terribly - shiny streaks everywhere. |

Depends on the year and options for your vehicle. Possibly the market too.
Re the fake leather, older cars have sensatec, newer models have the improved veganza. But the leather(ish) covered dash is also an option - some lower spec cars don’t have it. |

My question is specifically regarding the 2025 X1 xdrive with premium package. Dash and side trim feels like leather |

It’s probably Veganza. I don’t think real leather is available in the US.
BMW does sell a special cleaning kit for Veganza, but I think it’s just their normal leather cleaner. I’m sure it’ll be available on your side of the pond. |

Might be a US thing then, because my UK spec car has Veganza. Or rather, it appears to be exactly the same material as my seats and they are definitely Veganza. The option was 4NW, Luxury Instrument Panel.

OK, but OP is in the US. And in the US guide, as I posted above, 4NW is Sensatec Dash. I doubt that BMW would use the same order code for 2 different options.
