328i or G35S

I was in the same boat a few years ago. I ended up with the 328i. The Infinity isn't a bad car by any means. IMO it lacks personality.

If you want a drivers car, go for the BMW in any guise that fits you. If you are the type that is easily excited by bright flashy lights, fancy zip-zaps and do-dads , then get the dressed up Nissan.

We drove 328s, used 330s, 335s, and a G35 (non-sport).

The 335 was out of our price range, and of the remaining cars, the G35 was the winner. Much nicer interior, more hp, Japanese quality, better warranty, all for less money. And I'm not even talking about the sport version. My in-laws have Nissan/Infinity and have had no reliability issues.

Ultimately, it came down to what they were offering for my trade. The Infinity dealer was offering much less for my trade than the BMW. That, and an unexpected winfall of cash allowed me to get the 335i, which, to me, is a better "feeling" car than the nicer interior and almost equal performance of the G35.

I did not drive a G37.

sedan for sedan, I would choose the E90 328i over the G35s because I cannot get over the soft curves of the sedan. The interior of the G is great, but imo the E90 looks better.

Coupe for coupe, I went with the 328i, due to a practical trunk over the G37c.
