Nope, a Cessna C172 Nav III with the Glass cockpit in real life. I may not be able to fly IFR, but guess Riddle wants me to know the basics of the instruments before I start the instrument course( though I am thinking of doing the multi-engine track and get my multi-engine rating on a Piper Seminole then go to the instrument course in the seminole).

PS: I can land a 737 on an aircraft carrier in X-Plane.

Obviously, it is unrealistic and I was joking. Sadly, FSX doesn't work on Macs though I can boot into XP so I might go out and buy it and install it in Windows.

just a word of advice, FSX is a resource hog, and it just eats everything....so have one hell of a rig for it or deal with crap graphics...

Will a 2.6 Ghz C2D with 4 GB of ram and a NVIDIA 8600M GT with 512 MB VRAM be enough for it to run decently?

the 8600M GT may be holding you back =/ but you'll be able to run it decently, but not on max graphics.

Your best bet for FSX is a desktop machine, otherwise try FS9 (FS2004) it runs faster, and there are a million awesome addons available for it!

Oh and X-Plane is supposedly certified as an FTD and you can log time while playing an approved X-Plane setup! Crazy for such a crap thing...
