ASU is a GO

So it looks like my dreams of going to Arizona State University are a go. Once 30lbs more are lost i'll be joining NROTC so school will be paid for. Due to the failing stock market, my college fund has tanked. So who knows! Just might be driving a 135i sooner than I thought! Majoring in Communications & Political Science, so finding a job shouldn't be too hard. The Masters in Business & Law should help a bit too.

I personally don't know about anyone here considering joining the forces, but it's definitely not a bad idea. 50k a year to go towards school?!? A job with paid room, board, food, benefits. After a vigorous year of pounding out 36 units total I think I deserve to get the hell out of community college. It's truly a joke.
Stay in school ladies and gentlemen, get that car you always wanted and the life you deserve. Stay perfect E90post

he's just saying that california has some very good state universities.. plus it costs a lot less than going out of state and your paying taxes for it anyways.

Had plenty of friends go to ASU - good school. Try not to let the partying get too out of control - can fall into it pretty easy and botch your schooling.

Ha thanks all! I'm saying NROTC will pay give me 50k a year to go to school. Tuition alone costs 32k, room and board another 600 a month. Pretty pricey, but just to let everyone know here, I realize there are many good schools in cali. But, most do not accept undergraduate transfers. I am absolutely not willing to put up with another year of bullshit from my parents.

most wont accept undergraduate transfers? well if you don't have good grades you don't get anywhere... lol. they do accept undergraduate transfers. most of them require you to do certain things in CC such as taking transferable lower division units for your major and GE's.

yup I went to a different college for one year and you really can't fuck up there because those grades will follow you until your done with college, but yet most kids there don't give a shit lol I have a lot of friends in CC and they don't even go to class which i don't understand don't they want to get out of school???

not saying the OP fucked up before just saying I'm pretty sure they accept transfer students in a state university, unless its like a private or ivy league school

Some CSU's accept them some don't. Examples of schools that don't:
Chico State, Northridge, Channel Islands, SDSU, SJSU.
I applied for Humboldt, CSUSB, Bakersfield, LSU, and a few others. Just really want to go to ASU. Plus the cost of living is nothing compared to here. A baller apartment at Tempe = $600/month. In the silicon valley you could maybe get a hooptie ROOM for that much.
