Why not just pony up a couple hundred bucks and go to the track for a day? It is a lot more fun anyway. Plus it's half the price of even a normal 80 mph speeding ticket.

Since I started tracking 5 yeara ago, I find my want to speed on the highway is much lower.

Is it just me or is it getting under anyone else's skin that they're throwing "BMW" under the bus??? Honda kids and JDM kids for that matter are waaayyyy more reckless from my experience. BMW isn't at fault, this dumb ass kid with mom's car is!

End rant

Deserves whatever he gets...The speeding ain't even the issue, its the weaving in and out of traffic and making an extra lane for himself that is. That's just reckless, no excuses. Hate how people think its OK to back him up or excuse his driving just because its a 'fellow BMW driver'. Bet if it was a video showing a Honda or something then more people would be angry!

It's fools like him who give BMW drivers a bad name!

Depends on the jurisdiction I guess. Go 20 over the limit in VA and they classify that as a felony, but one state over in MD it is a misdemeanor.

VA also doesn't use automated speed cameras (just red light), but they make radar detectors illegal.

Someone cut me up like that in a 3er doing double the limit the other day, quite shocking how quickly they appeared out of nowhere and nearly took us all out weaving

Amusingly he was stuck at the same traffic lights as everyone he'd cut up 2 mins later.

At least there's no traffic lights on Gran Turismo and you can't kill any one. Stick to PlayStation and stop giving the rest of us BMW owners a bad rep!

Hopefully said motorist was smart enough to cover his tracks such that he will not be identified. Sure, he was driving recklessly as well, but he had to in order to keep up. That being said, and despite that I would not pursue justice against him myself, I wouldn't condone that type of action in this specific case due to the fact that he also endangered others. Now, in a hit and run or some other egregious act, as long as traffic isn't prohibitive, sure - chase him down. Granted I wasn't there, so I'm not throwing stones. Clearly the guy in the lead car is dangerous driver so its good that the video helped apprehend him and that he will at least face misdemeanor charges.

Outed himself because apparently, when it was posted on facebook, he commented to take it down before he gets in trouble and the cops saw that post and thats how they got to him. This is local to me and It was all over the news here.

I had a feeling this guy was from the Bronx, Queens or Brooklyn. People from there generally drive like dick faces. I frequently see this type of driving on the LIE.

No it isn't. 20 over or anything over 80, whichever comes first, in VA is a misdemeanor reckless driving charge.

This is so classic. Kid with Mom and Dad money with no respect and appreciation for the car he drives because he didn't have to buy it.

As soon as you spend your own hard earned thousands on a car that expensive you start thinking about taking care of your stuff

Nope, because I'm not an asshole.

I'm all for opening it up a little on empty roads but crowded roadways like the LIE is a bit different.
