I think you have now been properly vetted and I’m sure Joe Kerr regrets his earlier skepticism. Good luck with the fund, somebody just gave fifty bucks. If nobody here knows who that is, I’ll not claim it was I, but... I do like cats. |

Well that's good to hear. If your neighbor can update the gofundme post with those details, maybe she will receive some more donations for the little guy.

Fair enough. Thanks for responding. I'm always skeptical, mainly because a few people ruin it for everyone, such as below. Hope the cat pulls through! https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...am/2411744002/ |

I've never thought of it but I suppose gofundme could be considered the new sidewalk for handouts.

Which is sort of fascinating to me...to see how large a reach one can have with just a simple post. And if you make it sad enough, you could really rake in the dough. Kind of like that whole homeless man who gave $20 to that woman so she could get gas and get home - that gofundme exploded and there were hundreds of thousands raised for that guy (who was genuinely homeless), but man - what an investment that $20 was. Or you look at the wall on gofundme - $19.6M raised so far. It's fascinating because of the reach you have and how it can add up so quickly. |

All Donates have been updated ! Thank you again for the support. Kitty has been helped as much as possible. At this point he’s in the doctors care and being monitored! For reference over $700 was spent between me, the person who found it, and her roommates. The $160 donated by all was very appreciated. AGAIN... THANK YOU !!’

Now...one wonders, is that just a typo which we should just chalk down to being indicative of your ability to communicate and simply ignore it ...OR...was that the truth. Was it a car after all we were really helping out? Sadly, we will never know.... But I think we can all agree that this thread has taken a wonderful new direction that is far more interesting than the original topic. |
