Nothing surprising here.
X5 and X7 lost some sales to iX.
4 series is the best value in the line-up since they inflated the prices

I think the Quarter over Quarter X5 and X6 sales are down a bit because of the introduction of the LCI - people were most likely holding out for the refresh that picked up steam on the tail end of Q2.

Just a hypothesis on my part.

The return of car demand, X1 launch, and holy cow the XM outsold the Z4. I blame it on pent up demand!

Read somewhere today that dealers and manufacturers were surprised by brisk sales the first half of the year but are expected 2nd half to slow and a mild recession increasingly possible.

New ugly a** 7 series actually performing well in sales… reversing an age old trend of 7 series decline…

Ugly a** LCI X7 - not so much.

Overall, looking at those numbers, it’s clear that all that matters is marketing and pompous style.

XM and Z4 sales are practically the same while X5 continues to outsell every other model.

Looking forward to Q3 and Q4 sales statistics with a particular interest in XM sales.

It should be zero surprise BMW moves so few Z4. The vehicle is a small 2-seat convertible. It’s basically someone’s second or third vehicle. Pretty much all other models have far more utility.

Yep. But one of their best. Drives like a GT yet with agility and power.
The big picture, long term trend is clearly away from small cars like the Z.
But if you want to own a unicorn…

The most hated models (in any BMW forum) in BMW line up are raking up the highest sales growth. That’s hilarious

The XM is interesting but i am not surprised it it selling well, if you spec it out in all black it reminds me so much of the Tahoe, Suburban, Sequoia or the Escalade, so i am not surprised about that, that was expected. In the US those type of cars are very attractive for people who wants big 5-7 seater large cars that aint minivans.

The 4 series is interesting also but i would believe the i4 is driving a lot of those sales, i was back at my dealer the other day for a check on a thing, and talked to him and he said that right now they are having extreme issues getting i4 deliveries sense a lot of the older leased cars are coming back now and folks now want an electric sedan but more were acing for a station wagon EV in the BMW range but as for now BMW is slow to release and produce cars if they had the i5 station wagon available now my dealer told me it would outsell the i4.

But station wagons are popular in EU even though SUVs are taking over here more and more. So right now the i4 is the choice for many looking for a larger family car that is an EV and is BMW sense the i4 has quite the boot and can load a lot more then someone would think especially if you remove the "hat shelf"

So that is nice but it is sad to see so many i4s on the roads here already now i aint the only one any more in my little town !

Or maybe, just maybe, the product is still good despite the controversial styling?

Dealer CA here we haven’t been getting as many Z4 allocations as well as I’m not sure if BMW is counting cars we punch as service loaners as demos. My Dealership has a R store right up the ride we punched a few XMs as loaners for them

Dealer CA here Not sure if BMW is reporting this the same way as they normally do but if a car is punched as a service loaner it counts as “sold” we do this at the end of the month with some units such as X6 and 7 series so that we can get more allocations as units sold per month play into that. My dealership in south Florida had about 30ish pre orders between us and our satellite store. We sold about 10 since release combined mind you were in south Florida with no markup. Last month my dealer, sattilite store not included punched about 8 or so as service loaners as we have an RR store right up the road. So if that’s how BMW is counting it then maybe less sold

Surprised…the 4 series doing this well.
I guess aesthetics don’t matter that much.

SUV sales are still strong. X5 and X3 leading the way.
