****I like the satin look myself. Looks clean on the car and doesn't overwhelm like some of the shiny finishes that remind me too much of Armor All'ing everything like I did as a youngster!

Tuf Shine Tire Shine
https://www.detailedimage.com/TUF-SH...ance-Kit-P545/ The only downside, for me, is the fact that you might need to clean your tires quite a few times to get rid of any silicone tire dressings, at least the first time you apply the dressing. I use P&S brake buster for my wheels and tires, but the cleaner in this kit still brings out a ton of brown gunk. And, this stuff lasts for weeks, does not attract dirt and there is no sling. The brush that comes with the kit is one of the best too. I use it to clean the tires every time I do my wheels (every wash) whether I am using the dressing or not. |

I don’t use tire shine anymore. I just keep my tires clean.

Lots of great input. There's so many products out there! Maybe when I use up the Perl I have I'll venture into something but I think I just need to set my expectations a little lower.

I'm off and on with the tire shine. Used to put it on a lot. Not so much these days. I like the look when it's done properly. Reluctantly, I did the Conti's on my just delivered X5 knowing I'd be cleaning up the mess in a week or so.

The two best out there are Labocosmetica Nero and CarPro Darkside. Everything else mentioned is fine but those are the two best and I have tried almost everything. BTW, ScottHDs tests are not worth much irl it would seem. VRT is water based and does not last long at all. It's nice, but it does not last.

Autoglym Tyre Gel. The car is detailed weekly so it last quite well. There is little or no splash which I like too.

. . . And the tire shine is only on the side of the tire, not on the tread portion. So if you park with your wheels turned, you see the normal tire (tread) and the shiny sidewall; a mismatch. I just don’t like the look.
And then did you ever see someone who carelessly sprayed it on while the care was in the street and left marks? ( ) ( ) ![]()
