Just as a heads up, passenger side mirror only folds if you have the mirror control (left hand side by the window) set to the driver side mirror. Not sure why mine switched during the update. Working now. Android auto connection issues are much worse though, anyone who hasn't upgraded should consider holding off.

It seems counter-intuitive to me but that's how the manual describes it for USA models.

The passenger mirror tilting down function if you have the driver mirror selected, it has been this way for decades. My e46, e90, e92, f32, and my U11 X1 all have/had this.

Seems counter intuitive being set up like it is. But I guess over time you get use to it.
I’ve had 4 Acura’s with tilting rear mirrors. The way they work was/is if you are in reverse & want to passenger side to tilt down slide the selector to that side & if you want the drivers side mirror to tilt down, slide the selector to the drivers side. Logical!!

My Lexus tilted both mirrors; so does my wife's Hyundai. I don't really understand the passenger mirror only implementation.

Noticed yesterday that when you shut the vehicle off, it asks if you want to turn off the alarm system - "Deactivate Once"...odd change. Why on earth would you want to deactivate your alarm. Vehicle is '23/ID8, updated to 2024.40

If referring to the tilt alarm possible scenarios would be taking a ferry or possibly transporting the car on a flatbed.

Possible I suppose, but it doesn't specify interior alarm...just says deactivate alarm...no worries. Not something my wife would do either way

I installed 03/2024.40 and I feel like the auto stop start is now much improved. It just feels smoother and the throttle is less jerky when starting from a complete stopped state.

I upgraded from 07/2023.45 to 11/2023.73 at the end of March and 03/2024.40 definitely feels different. Or it's just the placebo effect combined with warmer suer like weather here in New England.

You know, I didn't want to say anything, because I thought it was a placebo effect, but after driving it around the past few days while my other car is down, it does feel better. Not perfect, but I'll have to observe it for a few more days to be sure. Of particular note, I found that in Personal Mode the throttle itself feels more responsive and less hesitant to accelerate while already moving. More of a direct throttle feel and less progressive like it was before. The auto start/stop system seems to cut off the motor a lot less when coming to a stop and seems to start up quicker once you get off the brake. I don't want to get my hopes up though, but if they finally fixed it so it's at least consistent, then that's a big win for all of us 28i owners.

I need to deactivate it when I leave my dog in the car. He sets it off in like 2 min if I forget. lol.

Understood, but this option deactivates ALL the alarms...not just the interior alarm, which you can do using the fob...then at least you have proximity alarm in play

This is a better description of what I was trying to say. It doesn't seem as jarring when it cuts the engine while slowing down. I don't think it cuts out so quickly as you're slowing down.. it seems to be closer to approaching a complete stop now. And it's smoother to resume with better throttle throttle response, like there is less lag to get going again.

I also agree with this. It's great they added it to the shutdown screen. I think you could only do this with the key fob before and I never carry that with me.
