I'm not saying that they're as ugly as acura's cars but they're still butt ugly compared to their german or american rivals.

Yup, HR10EG 3.5l V8. Sounds like an F1 car.

you basically pay $40k for a saturn aura:
not to mention it has a face for an ass, and not a very pretty one. at least if u damage the grill on a TL, it's safe to know you can just jack the trim off the trunk of an aura

I'm not a huge fan of the new styling of Acuras, especially the TL.
I do have to say though, that they are great cars to drive. The new TL engine is very responsive and revs quite freely. The interiors of those cars are very nice as well and the technology package is a great feature. Which is the other thing I like about Acura, no nickel and dime for everything, you either get it with or without tech package, everything else standard. I believe they're coming out with a refresh for the TL with a front end that's a little less "intense". |

The only similarity between these two is the aluminum/chrome accent on the trunk.

I really don't understand why everyone thinks the older ones are amazing looking. They're okay, but they aren't substantial or really clever; just really generic and boy racer-esque.

not if u squint look a little closer, the window profiles are identical, the boots take away at the same angle... whenever i see a saturn aura i mistaken it for a TL.

I don't like the new TL but that's about it. I think the new TSX actually looks pretty nice. I think the RDX, MDX and ZDX all look pretty good. The cars that I really dislike are from Honda and Toyota. My goodness if I were buying a car (even though more bang for my buck), I wouldn't buy either a Honda or Toyota (especially toyota). I think all their new models look like crap. They look so bland it's not even funny.

It all comes down to how you want to spend your money. A $29,000 TSX comes with real leather (not leatherette), ipod connection, bluetooth (and audio), xenon headlights, paddle shifters (altho they suck), a bangin system, heated seats etc. I test drove a lot of cars and the TSX was the only one I actually liked in its price range.
If Acura decided to make the TSX RWD and slapped a turbo on to that 4 banger, they would draw a whole lot of people to it. It's pretty much the only thing holding me from loving this car. |

I've been wanting this from Acura for the longest time. They're thinking of dropping the f22 engine from the S2k in a TSX, with turbo set up; as their type s. It was some speculation from Penske Honda.

I traded in my 2007 TL-S for the 335i. For a fwd car.... it was probably the best fwd car I ever drove. They tried to make the handling tight and simple mods brought up the hp to around 270 to the wheel. The car as a whole looks like a wedge... which some have said is a timeless design.
The 4th gen TL (2009+) is hideous on the outside but quite nice on the inside. I test drove it a couple times then said good bye to Acura. The company even painted the beak from the factory because they realized how hideous it looks.
