With Georgia making the move to re-open, I am a little more hopeful I will be able to be by my wife's side at her next doctors appointment. We will likely find out the sex of our twins, and I would really like to be there for that.

Somewhere between completely re-opening the economy like nothing is happening and locked down indefinitely until we can test everyone in the population on a regular basis, is a reasonable approach. Just like you can’t simply snap your fingers and go back to the way it was, you can’t stay in a state of economic suspension indefinitely until all risk is eliminated. As usual, I’d say there are idiots at both extremes.

That likely depends on where you are. We don't have protests and marches here but we do have a lot of people that are very upset we are starting to open up.

I'm seeing "inconclusive" as opposed to flop. The study itself was flawed. Proclaiming it a failure at this point is just as misguided as proclaiming chloroquine a successful treatment.
Tamiflu is very effective under certain circumstances, especially if given early. But it isn't a cure all for someone with a serious case of the flu who is near death. Still, you wouldn't label it a flop.

Some 'good' news:
This spring has been one of the most beautiful I can remember here in Brklyn. Feb left mild & wet, March started warmish, April sort of cool. The Pear trees had white flowers for weeks. The Magnolias didn't get beat by a hard frost. The ground flowers also didn't get a hard frost. Consistent but light rain has the Cherry trees, just popping now, looking to bust out bigly. Dogwoods are starting, and the woods are turning lime green.... Murf Last edited by Littlebear; 04-24-2020 at 12:07 PM.. |
