My production date was today (Nov 2)...and when I checked the status this is what I got. I don't know if I believe it!

Congrats to those with vehicles coming out of production! Very exciting, and also promising to see the speedy pace.

Just an update for anyone else ordering a MY24 28i with M Sport:
I have a minor suspicion the aluminum hexacube trim (4H2) may have delayed my build. If anyone else has optioned with that trim and had better luck, I’d be curious to know! I saw chatter on the M35i thread about trim related delays, but it’s unclear exactly what trim was the cause.

Mine was showing in the paint booth for nearly two days (I've seen 1-3 days on other builds) and transitioned into "Entering assembly line/Assembly" in progress this morning.

Production date was listed as November 3rd so I presume that means the end of production and not the start.

Based on the recent comments, it seems like it only takes a day or two to actually build the vehicle after the paint booth. I read an article that indicated they're producing up to 1,000 vehicles per day at the Regensberg plant (now working 3 shifts).

Update: less than an hour after posting the above, the status flipped to Quality Check.

I'm also able to now download the owner's manual using the VIN.

This all happened since last night.

11/03: Final assembly
11/03: Ready for transport
11/03: Awaiting carrier assignment
11/03: Dispatched from factory

At this rate, my wife might get an early Christmas present.

Looks like I'm one day ahead of you at the moment. Next stop "at the Port" which I assume is the USA port. Have you figured out how to tract the ship?

From what I've read on other discussions, "At the Port" indicates the German port prior to being loaded on a ship. Once the status changes to "In Transit", you can contact genius and they should be able to tell you the name of the ship.

You can then use one of several sites such as the ones below for tracking the progress of the ship to see it's scheduled arrival in port.

I did some checking yesterday and if they're using the standard shipping line, the following sailings are potential for vehicles heading to Brunswick, Georgia, which I assume is where mine might be sent.

11 Nov - 5 Dec: don Pasquale
14 Nov - 3 Dec: Arc Independence
21 Nov - 11 Dec: Morning Camillia
25 Nov- 16 Dec: Morning Concert

I obtained that information from
https://www.walleniuswilhelmsen.com/schedules

Thanks for the info! I assume my car will be shipped to California (I'm in Phoenix). There is a November 14th sailing arriving December 27th. That is a lot longer shipping time than what you have.

My car was shipped from Bremerhaven directly to the west coast through another shipping company, and from what I read they usually use them for West Coast instead of Wallenius, maybe give that a quick search. For reference, the ship mine was on was the Daedalus Leader. Of course I had to wait an extra couple of weeks after it arrived at the West Coast for it to be shipped to Hawaii over the holidays.

Yes, it could be a different shipping company depending on the port of arrival. The actual ship and company may not be known until the ship leaves Bremerhaven or whatever port it's coming from. Calling genius will provide that information after the status goes to "in transit."

There's an older comprehensive shipping discussion available at the following link. Information. It's a little dated and I found some of the links may not be valid anymore but still has good information.

In the home stretch as my vehicle status updated to "At the Port" this morning.

Now the indefinite wait until it gets assigned to a ship. I assume the other vehicles that were ahead of mine are also showing "At the Port" status.

"Assuming" the vehicle will be shipped to Brunswick, GA on a Wallenius Wilhelmsen vessel, the updated potential sailings in the next few weeks are:

11 Nov - 2 Dec: Don Pasquale
14 Nov - 4 Dec: Arc Independence
14 Nov - 1 Dec: Morning Carol
22 Nov - 13 Dec: Morning Camilla
24 Nov - 7 Dec: Tamerlane
25 Nov- 16 Dec: Morning Concert

Hopefully the stop sale that's been affecting some others hasn't migrated to the MY24 28i production cycle.

In other news, the online configurator is still inactive for the 2024 X1 28i model.

Possible shipping options updated as of November 9th.

That's a bummer, especially since it's been about a week since it was ready to leave the factory.

It could be an error. Have you tried calling genius to see if it's an actual hold on the vehicle?

Mine sat awaiting a carrier for a while before being assigned to a ship, and that was December ‘22. I’d imagine with the demand, plus the X2, 2AT all coming from the same plant, logistics are crazy right now trying to get cars on a ship.

Small world. Strange that they couldn't provide more insight. I wonder if it could be related to a specific option you ordered that they might be holding it but that seems unlikely since it went through final assembly. Perhaps you'll never know.

If it makes y’all feel better, I’m still stuck on “Order received” after 3 weeks haha. Nobody knows why as other builds have been progressing as expected.

Seems there’s no rhyme or reason with these things, and possible the info is outdated once in those final stages?

🥲🥲 soon enough! I'm coming from a 23 x1 and noticed there are a lot of things that might've been deleted or have been modified (1 row of door stitching, door sills, glove compartment light (?), Msport versions with no spare tire, etc. Are there others that I'm unaware of? Can anyone confirm or deny that this is what they know also? Kind of bummed by a few of these things.

Door lock pins were also removed in July.
