Hey I have a 2024 X1 M35 having the same CarPlay issues. Dealership just pushed an update this week which seems to have made it worse! Anyone find a fix yet???

I don't use Carplay but do use Android Auto and was having the same issues. Someone posted on here that the solution is to link your phone to both the cars's wifi and bluetooth at the same time. Have since driven over 500 miles and not had any drop-outs at all. I am hoping this is the solution to Android Auto dropping out and perhaps it might work for Carplay?

Ours has intermittent interruptions of 1-10 seconds every time we drive the vehicle. It also completely drops the phone connection periodically. We tried all the normal fixes of restarting ID9, deleting the phone and reconnecting, updating to the latest ID9 release, updating to the latest IOS, etc.

Our M35i is at the dealership now for this and they were able to duplicate the problem. They are following the normal diagnostic protocol and are being great to work with. The question I have is centered around whether BMW has any 2024 X1 (ID9) models with a consistently functioning CarPlay connection? I am trying to determine if this is systemic or if replacing head unit have a chance to remedy the issue in the near term. I am hoping that are actually correctly functioning ID9s out there to have some light at the end of the tunnel.
Have you directly scan the wifi QR code in the vehicle using your phone, it work for me, instead of using bluetooth

CarPlay is working again in my 2024 28i. It had stopped working with my iPhone 12. Though I did not realize it at the time, it stopped after last iPhone update. I think the phone’s update had turned off the “CarPlay” setting on the phone.

Suggest after you use your phone to scan QR code in X1 go into phone settings & make sure CarPlay is on.
