M4 convertible ordered

Nothing like shopping around and being in the right place at the right time. Ordered my wife her M4 convertible today. Have to travel about 250 miles to get it. But none of the dealers in my AO had any allotments. Status 111 with a production number and showing a week 29 build.

MG, full black leather, exec pkg, lighting, 6MT, 19" black wheels, adaptive suspension.

She had to get the convertible so her two black Lab's can ride around with her. She's going to be a happy camper tonight!

This was a launch car that the dealer could spec out for us.

Showing first movement. SA just called and said my car went into 112 status this morning. Build week has not changed, still week 32. At least it's a movement in the right direction.

well not really. Week 32 is in three and a half weeks, August 4th. Considering I ordered this with my first dealer back in early May. Then switched dealers in late June. And the vert just started production this month. I feel really good about it. I'll feel much better once it goes 150 though!

So, I placed my order what seems like ages ago, but finally got a production number today! Initially it was requested week 27 (which has come and gone).. Confirmed production date now is week 36. It's gonna feel like forever, but it's nice to finally be status 111

I was week 38...then 31, called 800# yesterday and said in production, July 25th.

When did you order your's J50? I did get a call from the Charleston SC dealer who finally got an allocation if any one is looking for a vert. Hoping one of these calls to the 800 number give me more hope. It's getting closer.

June 7th, but its a coupe not a vert.

If your car stays 32, should be soon.

Well my convertible just went into production and it was scheduled to be PW 32!! So things are happening fast over there I see all my ordered options listed except the Individual Full Amaro Leather which is freaking me out a little - waiting on word from Maria (BMWNA) and my CA to ensure it is in the build sheet - there is a color swatch on the bmwusa.com tracking page that is correct however it does not specifically its my leather choice - annoying!

I guess the other point is that I have ED on Sept 12th (supposedly the first allowable day for the verts on ED) which now means the car will be sitting in a lot somewhere for 7+ weeks before I get to pick it up!

Ok, we were originally week 28 then 31 then 32. Holding steady at this point. My only concern with week 32 is the summer holiday break. Hoping the car is done before that kicks off. Hate to have it half completed and then a two week break. Soon will be here before we know it. I was just cleaning up a car to sell today, we have six in the garage/driveway now and the wife decided she did not want to sell it. All we need is another car at the house. Gives me reason to build that other three car garage. Soon will be here too fast for me. Hope you go 150 on the 25th!

Congrats ciaranob! Hoping ours goes into production soon, going to call the 800 number now. Hopefully the leather did not fall off, for whatever reason. We've got the individual leather option for the orange stitching on full black. I'm told not issue at this time, but we still do not have a build listing on the web site yet. Wish me luck, calling now.

Yep the 800 no. list my build completion date as August 4th. But have to wait until tomorrow to get confirmation on leather as office closed. Should not be an issue as I have been working very closely with BMNA on ensuring the Individual full leather was included correctly - suspect it is just the web site that is not up to snuff!
