BMW. The cost is fairly standard across dealerships depending on coverage and tier-- I can send you PM with the dealership so you can inquire directly. To my understanding from conversation with BMWNA, these contracts can be entered into even after initial warranty lapses-- there is no 'continuity of coverage' issue. Standard maintenance plans can also be purchased (brakes/fluids). These are purchased one-time.

I've also investigated transferable third party arrangements, too-- for Powertrain/Drivetrain and comprehensive. These can be bought in installments of ~$170-$300/mo until fully paid and vary in duration (so, the number of payments depend on cost/duration of coverage and arranged size of installment).

BMW warranties aren't very much different in price, but they're paid up front and guarantee BMW parts/service as specified by BMWNA.

Updated insurance info. Wheel and tire insurance is good for one more year, and transferable. DT/PT warranty will keep car covered for another 5 years or additional 60K miles @ $4000.
