Courtesy delivery Question

My car is almost done. Im am having the car courtesy delivered. I called today to make sure this was set up. I was told that they could only change dealer destination when the car is at the VPC. Is that correct?

Courtesy Delivery (at least for me) was setup well before the final paperwork. To me it doesn't make since to wait until VPC.... Mine was delivered to the west coast VPC and would have been delivered to the east coast VPC if it had not been setup prior.

Make sure that you have everything in writing and all the fees are disclosed and negotiated up front.

I've had 2 bad experiences and decided never to do courtesy delivery again. Delivering dealer does not give a crap about your car since they did not sell it to you.

Experience #1: Dealer said that they were not giving up their spot on the truck for me and ask me to make different arrangements a month before delivery.

Experience #2: Dealer asked for additional $500 to deliver my car for "fees"

I would rather pay a little bit extra up front and only work with one dealer from order to delivery.

Ordered car in NC and live in Miami. Was gonna have car delivered to Naples cause i figured they would be less likely to be dicks. Hmmmm making me wonder if I should do something different. Could I pick up car at VPC or take the 15 hour drive.

You can not pick up the car at VPC.

Just make sure that you can trust the dealer who is redelivering your car or fly up to NC and pick up your car in person. Having a road trip back is always fun.

Do you have any relationship with the dealer in Naples?

Yeah Might do that, 12 hour drive in new car would be pretty sweet. 840 miles. Break-in would almost be done.

Bingo! That is what I would recommend. And congrats on the new car.

Tony you've been talking like a big shot for the past 6months about your car, You still haven't received it yet? Gee I wonder why? Your dealer probably has their reasons, You should try to be more humble
