Akrapovic slip on, do I need adaptors?
I'm looking at buying a used Akrapovic slip on and initially just want to attach it to my factory x pipe. I've read I need adaptors, is this true?
The car it came off was fitted with a Gintani X pipe so not sure the seller has them. Thanks in advance |

I'm pretty sure it just bolts on (or slips on lol) to the factory X-pipe. I just bought one for my car 30min ago. If it does require some adapter, then I will buy the evo X-pipe before wasting my time installing the slip on.

Ok thanks for the reply. I noticed on another post that the adaptors apparently come with both the slip on and the evo but you don't use them when fitting the evo as you remove the factory x pipe.

For a stock or an X-pipe with stock-like 'flanges', you'll need the adapters. If the previous owner has it one the Gintani, good chance they'll be included with the sell.
The one reason you wouldn't need the adapter is if you have the Akra GT4 or Evo X-pipe. |

This is correct. I have the Evo slip on. The adapters come included from Akrapovic and should work with any aftermarket x-pipe or OEM. I think the confusion comes from people trying to use an Akra x-pipe with another axle back system. Then you'll need the adapters from RKP that iND sells.
