Don't need fancy coilovers. Don't want the back end any lower at all. Want to drop the front end just a little bit- like 1/2"-5/8". Want to close the wheel gap very subtly while minimizing any affect on the stock suspension ride quality and performance handling. Doesn't seem like there is a solution at this time- but do you guys think there will be? If Eibach designed the OEM springs, couldn't they just immediately offer a front-end solution with nearly identical spring rates to the stock setup? I know the sleeve kits are decent- but they are expensive for what I want and like I said, I don't want to touch the rear end. Long story short- I want OEM or equivalent springs for the front end only. Was anything like this offered on the e92?

Actually the best ride heights for balance on these cars appears that fronts are higher than the rears as far as wheel arch gap is concerned. Lowering the front only causes geometry changes that affect cornering under braking performance and traction on the rear end. Read the other KW threads for more details. |

OP doing what you're asking is completely throwing off the suspension and taking away from what makes these M cars so great, their handling, there are a lot of threads on suspension upgrades, balance, etc.
Not really sure where you got that Eibach makes the springs on our cars, I'm assuming that from the early pics showing the prototype M with eibach springs on, that was never confirmed though. BMW could've easily used different set ups at that time during testing.

$65k+ car, and the sleeve kit is expensive? Huh? Do it right or don't do it at all...

I get that the geometry would change. I'm no engineer, but I'd be surprised tho if it, "totally threw it off"... Are you in the "don't touch the stock suspension" camp? Because I can't imagine other solutions guys are using wouldn't have an equal or greater impact on the stock setup. I'm talking equal spring rate, super small drop. The HR kits are way more aggressive, as are the coilovers (admittedly ignoring the ability to properly setup the KW systems).

OP I think you should just buy a set of H&R or equivalent springs for what you are trying to accomplish.

$960 sleeve kit after tax $250 alignment $1710. Guess I was a little high. Still pricey for what I want. Gonna leave it stock for now and wait for Eibach springs. |

Eibach's spring kit supposedly drops the rear .2" and the front .8"
If that's not sufficient wait for coilovers that are made specifically for the F80. |
