ED for April Concerns

I am happy with the price I am getting for my F80 (I will share in another post), but I am concerned about a few things my dealer is telling me. My dealer is telling me that I cannot order until 60 days before ED pickup because I am leasing. It is my understanding that you can order an ED car with a deposit and credit check and you don't have to work out any of the leasing/financing details until after the order is placed. I understand that the leasing terms can only be locked in 60 days prior (East Coast). My understanding is that the actual ED order and how you pay for it are 2 separate processes. This dealer has not yet inspired my confidence. I am worried they are clueless and I am going to end up not getting the delivery time frame I want. Am I wrong?

Nope.

Dealer is mistaken. Order can be locked in sooner. Leasing or buying makes no difference until you sign the paperwork before you leave.
