Went to Global Imports in ATL yesterday to get a quart of oil for my F10M5 and ended up trading in on a new M3. Had been thinking more and more about putting in an order on one and I guess it was meant to happen yesterday because they had one optioned (almost) exactly as I would have ordered.

Black
Black extended leather
Black 19" wheels
Black kidney grills (thrown in)
CF trim
Driver Assistance
Exec
Lighting
Adaptive Suspension
DCT
Power rear sunshade (for some reason I have to have this in my cars)
B&O sound
Moonroof (ok, I would have gotten CF but not a deal breaker for me)

This thing is a blast even when sticking to the break-in rules. Can't wait to be able to wind it up. Way more fun than the E90M3 I had a couple years ago. I watched all the exhaust drama on here and was a bit nervous, but I think it is great now that I have heard it in person. Old M3 had MPE so maybe that will be my first real upgrade after hitting IND for black side markers. For now just enjoying feeling truly connected to the road again and not like I'm floating above it. Oh, and the torque.

Got a couple K off invoice and what I wanted for my trade so not a bad day.

I'll miss the M5 for rocketing down the highway, but the size of that thing...my god man, it's enormous! Great car all around, best of both worlds if you will. Just too big for me as I never got comfortable throwing it around like you can the 3.

Congrats! That's awesome on the B&O Sound. Was it custom system they put in? The HK upgrades is nice but nothing like B&O.

Why do you say that? Just curious. I got mine there and I thought they were pretty good.

Congrats! Black and back wheels is looking menacing on these f80's! Make sure you get a car wash loyalty program or something. Hahaha!

Btw, anyone run the 19 inch wheels through an automated car wash yet?

Definitely would love to see pics. I have a black sapphire m3 with black wheels and SO interior ordered. Not a lot of love for black m3s on this forum.

Some people get lucky but over the years I have found them to be the worst BMW dealer around and easily the worst dealer I have ever experienced. Downright rude to me and my wife in multiple departments.

I've had numerous, numerous conversations with other enthusiasts who report the same experience. Every now and then someone says they were fine (I have a friend who has bought a couple used cars from them with no issues). But I've talked to far too many people including many of my close friends who absolutely loathe them.

When I wrote a letter to BMWUSA as soon as I mentioned Global they basically said say no more. I've heard the same from others who have called to complain about them...the get the say no more as well. Apparently their reputation precedes them.

Basically, they have a geographically good location and that helps them continue to do business.

Again, YMMV as you have seen. I just find it surprising on that very rare occasion someone had a good experience there.

Congrats. While I wanted the CF roof (AY), I would have gone with the moon roof on MG or SB.
