If you want to have a car that rides well on the streets - yes, absolutely. Fixed suspension harshness falls somewhere between "Sport" and "Sport +" of the adjustable suspension. "Comfort" setting on the adjustable suspension is the only way I enjoy public roads, occasionally "sport". The rest are just too jarring and jumpy for the street. Before you lower the car, read a few posts from folks on this forum who punctured the tranny oil cooler when they ran over something on the road ! a

I didn't get adaptive because I want to lower it on springs. Also I personally think the passive suspension setting is perfect for daily driving. My other car, '15 Audi S3, has the magnetic ride option and I rarely ever change the settings. To me I don't want the car to feel different and prefer a set setting.

BMW's adjustable suspension is different, much tighter. BMW's "comfort" is way stiffer than S3's, and the same goes for the stiffer settings. I definitely would not want to stay in "Sport+" all the time on the street, but it will likely yield the fastest times on track/autoX. a

i got adaptive because i want the stiffest stock suspension i can get...i drive in Sport+ 100% of the time...the stiffer and more jarring the ride, the better

i have a passive car lowered on KW HAS. I bought my car as it was already on a boat to the US (and was ready to buy), so what I got was what they could locate. If I was ordering, for the cost compared to some of the other options, I'd get the adaptive option. With that said, I'm content now with the ride quality with the KW's...I feel like they actually made the car ride a touch better than the stock springs.
