F82 at Buttonwillow CW #13
Again here is some more data from the F82 at Buttonwillow CW #13, unfortunately a track that I have never been on before and this data is from a bit earlier in the day.
Overall a few places need to be smoothed out a bit and some of the braking zones decreased but as you can see, I was trail braking most of the time according to the friction circle and hit 1.34g to the right and 1.24g to the left on the Hoosier R6's in an otherwise stock car. 10 cycles on the r6's and they're still holding strong. At this track, 33psi front and 35psi rear worked well. Different than the speedway, you can see how relaxed the car switches directions in the 11 area of the lateral G vs distance graph which makes me think that on this tighter track that sway bars are going to be required so I'm going to try and find some RD's before the next weekend since they have the most number of adjustment points. |

Not sure the point of this post. You seem to have data but didn't overlay it on the video which renders the video pretty useless to anyone watching. Besides that you didn't even list lap times which is all anyone cares about anyways.

If I was racing, I would post the real lap times but in general I don't share my lap times.. Other than that the data is just to learn from, not just driving but car setup as well. I'm always interested to see other peoples data if you have some to post. |

This was Hoosier R6's, Pagid RS29's and alignment on a car club day so traffic was rough but there is more left in the car for sure. It wouldn't shock me to see someone in the 1:46 area at all. Post up some of your data or meet me at the track some day, I might be able to help you out and get some time out of it myself as well.
The stock fluid isn't the best but I'm typically not absolutely horrible on the brakes. I have since switched to SRF mainly for when I run at Streets. M lap timer from that day actually, surprisingly a great system for basic data. |

Gets benefit of the doubt I guess, but I do think its odd that OP posts warm up lap video in slow DE group doing 2:20?
BW13 CW Laptimes from another forum in post 1. I know a few of these drivers. Dan Avon, for example, is insanely talented and did 1:51.9 with aero. There's two E36 with S54 swap on the list running 1:55-7 also. Not saying that OP couldn't be in the same league, just would love to see the video because he'd be driving balls out in the F82. I do think its been repaved recently which helped lap times by a couple of seconds. http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=453840

Unfortunately I always have trouble with my Replay mini camera so I get about 10% of the day at best, as you can see it was overcast and slow because I was hanging out with a car club group that mostly left by the end of the day when it got warm. I was going to put up a video of two cars spinning in front of me during the lap but that felt to be in bad taste although amusing for sure. In general, the data there shows the extremes that the car is capable of with this setup on that day. That was the only point behind the original post and its why I posted it with distance rather than time.
Anyway, I'm not trying to say I'm faster than any of you and have no interest in competing with you for a record in a street car. Believe it or don't.. I'm not willing to wear my fire suit to continue with you about it. Side question about another time, do you believe that the fully stock car can run 1:23:73 around streets CW? That is certainly well known to be modified corvette on slicks territory in its current condition let alone GTR's, ZR1's and near the 458 with the right drivers. I couldn't get anywhere near that with the fully stock car and I'm really not fast on street tires with their added slip angle but it has been proven recently to indeed run 1:23:73 literally delivered on the stock Michelins. How about 1:39.69 around Laguna Seca? Roughly SLS, R8 v10, ZR1, GT3, Turbo S, GTR territory.. This car is every bit as good with its 100+ torque over my street 997.1 GT3, although I liked the throttle steering better with rear engine. |

So why not post your record setting time? Why not post the raw data from your record setting time? The reason is that not only did it not happen but it CANNOT happen. GREAT drivers with fully stripped, blown, triple adjustable suspension, TDs (which are faster than R6s) and full aero E9X M3s are running 1:47 and their times are transponder verified. This has nothing to do with competition. It has to do with honesty, integrity and stopping the dissemination of blatantly false information. Post the data or apologize to the community for insulting our the collective intelligence.

Kind of, yes. OP is saying he ran quicker then this 1400lb Lotus 211 at Buttonwillow.
Same Lotus car/driver ran 1:50.xx at Chuckwalla which I have personally run at, and our feature race winner ran 1:58.xx to win the event. I know A>B and B>C doesn't always mean A>C, but it just doesn't make horse sense to me. Wondering if there's a different configuration OP had the M timer mixed up with? Was there a transponder time? I retired from strongman competitions about a year ago, but in that sport the saying was "video or it didn't happen". Luckily, the few times I really excelled in competition, it was all on video.

I am just glad I am slow, we are acting as if we are after track records and the final paying seat with RLL team. I really don't think it is necessary to take the conversation to this level. Believe it or not, put your view and move on IMO.
