AA Test Pipes

Does anyone have any experience with the Active Autowerke test pipes? What kind of sound/performance gains did you notice?

I have the AA test pipes. Highly recommended. The performance gain is noticeable and well worth the effort. Once warm and at low rpms around town, it actually sounds better but not really louder. I would say it has a deeper sound. At higher rpms, it is louder than stock, but again with a better overall sound and it's not that much louder. I will be getting the cold start deleted in the next month so it should be even quieter than factory on cold starts.

Do you pass emissions with them on?

No, the light is on. The BPM tune I'm planning on getting in the next month will fix the code and allow me to pass. It's the tune that will also allow me to delete the cold start-up cycle. The combination of the test pipes and the tune together are reported to be worth about 40 hp. I also recommend the Dinan under drive pulley but that's a whole other subject.

Btw, I don't live in a sniffer in the tail pipe state. You only have to pass the plug in OBD test here.
