ED European maps question

Can someone please confirm for our cars when doing ED, if the maps are on a usb stick or not? getting lots of mixed reports, and would like to know if i can even use my usb port in the long road trip ahead

The map was on USB stick when i took delivery earlier this month.

You can always use the aux in connection instead. Thats what i did.

I was told and suggested by the delivery guy at Welt not to remove the USB stick during the trip as it may corrupt the file. So i left it on until i return the car to LogInOut.

This is 100% accurate, I tried removing mine and the Navi took a crap on me, put it back in and everything started working. I freaked out, it started asking for FSC code but it worked again.
