2009 E90 M3, 48k mi, 1 owner and extended warranty
Folks, I'm selling my 2009 E90 M3, 48k miles, original owner, with an excellent extended warranty until 2018 or 100k miles. Interlagos over Speed Cloth/leather. Factory Options: Xenons, EDC, 6sp manual, Heated seats, 6FL (iPod), Carbon leather, fold down rear seats, 18" rims and no sunroof. Modifications: OEM ZCP springs, Ground Control camber plates, Ultimate Pedals heel&toe aluminum gas pedal, CF rear diffuser, M5 illuminated shift knob, Lux v3 LED angel eyes bulbs, blue Schroth QuickFit harness, Rainbow Audio and Hertz installed PnP in stock locations, Earthquake SWS-8 in stock locations, Alpine PDX5 with Tecnic PnP harness, blackout exterior trims, LED interior lights. It also has the OEM BMW Portable Nav (Garmin) wired with OEM kit. Comes with 18"Michelin PSS with good thread, and 2 other sets of wheels all with TPMS sensors: - Apex Arc-8 18" black with Hankook RS-3 tires, titanium lugs - Velocity VMR (I think) 18" gunmetal with Continental DWS (my winter setup) I also have a set of almost new Pagid RS19 yellows - amazing pads, and expensive. The car has seen the occasional track day (average 1 event per year), but has never been abused. It has been maintained in excess of BMW recommendations with in-between oil/filter changes, annual brake fluid flushes, cooling flush, alignments etc. Good clutch and brakes. Big stack of maintenance receipts. All stock parts are included, as well as a spare set of EDC shocks from a 25k miles car (good insurance policy given the cost new). Repair history: At around 15k miles the gearbox died, I chalk that up to a freak accident because these trannies should be very solid. No problem since. Last year it had the throttle valve actuator (bank 1) replaced under the extended warranty, along with thermostat and other bits. I consider the extended warranty absolutely essential to enjoy long term M3 ownership. Clear title, clean Carfax. Last year the rear passenger door was hit in a low speed collision, so it got a new door skin. A few nicks and dings (and love marks in the rear bumper left from careless parkers). Overall I'd say she is not a garage queen, but presents well, drives perfectly and is mechanically perfect. I have perfect confidence that you are getting a good car, no hidden stories. Next oil change is due in 2000 miles, so depending on when I sell it I may due the oil change. No other needs at all. The asking price includes everything, but I am willing to sell without some bits (extra wheels, audio, brake pads, harness and Garmin nav). I'm somewhat flexible on price, but please don't lowball.

Sorry, added the asking price.
Extended warranty is with Route 66, has a small $50 deductible, and it has already saved me a lot of money. Really good to work with.

I'm shopping for cars and find it funny because so many post LOADED on their ads like it was a good thing. I used it a quick way to filter ads. Minivans and Cadillacs should be loaded in my humble opinion. M cars should be focused and pure. Congrats and you just earned yourself a platinum man-card! |

The only two sedans that I've seen recently are a black one in Texas (dealer wants $40k for a 40k mile car that is a little beat up) and white one in NJ (dealer wants $49k - it looks perfect and is certified, but price is probably $5k high)
I've tried to buy both. Then there's the white competition sedan in CA which I think is a fair deal - but no warranty and I'd personally just rather be in one of these cars around $30k. Last edited by ellisnc; 04-28-2015 at 06:52 AM.. |

Your car is hard sell because it's a weird combo. Not an "enthusiast" M3 and not a "luxury" oriented buyer M3. Has leather but not many other options. |

It sure is an enthusiasts' M3. Only options are leather (which can be easily changed) sunroof, and Cold Weather package. It's much easier to change seats than dash. Either way the enthusiast doesn't seem to exist anymore as evidenced on this forum as every post in this section is looking for a car with NAV and FULLY loaded. I do agree that speed cloth is hard to find, but I was able to locate a set for my old M3 so I won't say it's impossible. Most of the guys who want all the options will do anyhting to get rid of the speed cloth not knowing what it is. We weren't too far off, maybe we can make something work. I just want to get rid of this car. Have too many cars at the house and need to clear some room. |
