Paint Correction & CQuartz Finest (pics)
Given that I plan to keep my ride until the next generation X5M comes out, I want the Beast looking its best for many years to come. As such, prior to delivery I had the entire front end, mirrors, rockers, fenders, and bottom 3" of doors wrapped in Xpel Ultimate.
In order to further protect the paint (and for the best possible look) this week I had the paint corrected and CQuartz Finest applied. Daniel Hollinger (Car Connoisseur) did the work and the results, IMO, are phenomenal. The process wasn't quick, but quality rarely is. Daniel spent 2 full days correcting the paint and prepping it for the CQF. The entire third day was spent applying the CQF. Per my request, Daniel did 3 coats (typical installation is 2) to the exterior and also covered my interior carbon fiber/piano black trim to help prevent micro scratches. I can't recall the name, but a CQF related product designed specifically for wheels was also applied. Anyway, enough talk, time for some pics. These were taken with my iPhone AFTER I drove about 50 miles (I was running really late): |

Looking good. Shiny and clean.
Missing that front kidney grill though.

R33- I know. Honestly, the look of the stock one has grown on me. Maybe because of the chrome/silver headlights or fact it's a lighter color, but I kinda feel the pure black may not be for me.
Can't wait for the CF side vents. I may end up looking to do cf kidney grills too (chrome part only, obviously). Any word on how long I'll be waiting? |

Thanks! Looks better in life or at least higher resolution, but I did my best with tools I have
I really like that you can't see a difference between thee panels wrapped in Xpel and those that are pure paint. |
