New car advice, pricing.
Hi all,
First time poster, possible first time BMW owner. Just after some thoughts since this might be my first BMW and I'm a bit of a BMW newbie. I'm considering purchasing an F80 M3 and want some thoughts on the price of a possible purchase? F80 M3 LCI 2016(brand new): Metallic paint (Mineral white) Darker optioined wheels Parking Assistant Dark knight tint Looking at a price of around $141k Drive away. Just wondering if that's a good price and what price point other people have purchased at similar spec level? Regards, Damian |

I am also in Melbourne. Looking a virtually the same car except for the park assist and tinting. The dealership will rip you a new one for tinting, get that done aftermarket. I have been looking at 138k drive away. Last edited by JL1; 12-29-2015 at 11:11 PM.. |

Yeah that's a good price - as a previous poster said, check the dealer price on the tint. Mine added it for "no charge" (nothing is free...).
$300-$500 is market rate for a decent aftermarket tint (QLD). |

The retail price with those options is about $160k.
Did you not even ask for a discount? Very confused. When you say paint and Tri,, are you talking about individual? A standard car with black wheels should be $138k.

Yes, it is an individual. Was told previous model was 170 for base model mine including paint and trim the best they could do was 160, sounds like I may have to discuss their price further.
Previous deal on my new 330i was a very good deal so I felt confident they would do the righty with another new BMW. Starting to feel a little pissed off. Thanks for letting me know. |

I got one for 140ish drive away with some options added. Don't settle for anything more unless u r adding individual options and adjust accordingly.
When did you sign the contract? There is a 3 day cooling off period, so if it hasn't been 3 days yet, I suggest u forfeit the contract and go elsewhere. |

Thanks Goshn,
Have looked up cooling off periods from WA gov there saying 10 days and they are not to accept funds for 10 days. I will be on to this at 9am. Probably wouldn't have worried for 5 but 20 is having a real go. Thanks again |

When you say individual, you ordered an exterior colour and interior leather from the individual program?
I'm pretty sure they run about 5k each, meaning you should be paying about $150k, which is $10k more than a good deal on a standard car. That said, perhaps discounts are not as easily obtained on individual cars. If your not going for specific individual trim and exterior, don't pay more than early $140's. Even then, a member on here ordered individual stitching and they didn't charge $5k - more like 2k. It all depends so don't freak out yet.

champagne Quartz is an individual colour, sonomo leather and trim are not my mistake, so base price should apply with extra for paint I would think.

Nothing more, except if you have options. Simply add them on top also. Point being, a base M3 should cost no more than $138k.
