X5M Brake Pads that don't black our wheels after 5 miles........
Does anyone know of a quality company that offers this for us? I'm so tired of getting brake dust so fast.

I remember someone mentioned changing pads to avoid dust while maintaining similar performance, but I can't remember who did. Hopefully he can show up here and tell us

I'm running semi-metallics all around..have about 500 miles on them so far with no downside for city driving (if your tracked it, it may be a different story). They don't have the weights attached to them like the stock pads, but so far no noise or vibration. They aren't as dust free as ceramics, but definitely have reduced dust and noise, and were inexpensive.

You hear other people moan about squeaky brakes. STOP USING THEM! Just kidding! Sign me up -- there must be something we can do. |

it wasn't until we got our black wheels I decided I wanted less dust..i guess the good news about starting out gloss black is they look matte after the dust my satin black e46 wheels with lotsa dust on them just look bad

i've "bedded in" the brakes which I think may also help (a bit), but not sure about that. I certainly has help nuke the squeal which had popped up. It might be worth a shot (just google "brake bedding in" and then find a nice, lonely, long stretch of road where you can do this bizarre procedure!).

I'd say it's cheaper to pay $5 to wash the car every week.

Here in the land of constant rain, I have given up on washing. Still want to wrap and ceramic coat the car though.
