Lowering: Clearance, Stance and Balance
I'm having the Dinan coil overs installed, and at the same time putting on AD08s (265/30, 295/30). Based on reading the various threads, the tires should have not clearance issues at stock height, as well as with "some" drop. It's not clear to me how much drop I can get away with without having clearance issues. I also was hoping to get input from others on front/back drop. If I go with a greater drop in the front than the back does that change the balance of the car, and if so, how much?
After 1500 miles on this car, my only gripe is that the more I look at it, the more it seems really - elevated. Especially in the front. Was the stock ride height designed around super swampers? There's more gap than Paris Hilton.

Find a proper shop to corner balance and align your car. Can't go wrong if you find the right shop to do it. Even if we give suggestions on "rake" and inch-mm heights for front and rear, a good corner balancing will make that ride juuuuuust perfect. I wish I had coil-overs so I could do that myself really.....

I was thinking of ordering the Dinan Sleeve Kit(don't think they make true coilers), but cost was 1600 for sleeve kit and install time suggestion was over 9 hrs of labor...no thx...but one positive, warranty still valid since dealer would do install.

You're right, it's a sleeve kit. I'm having it installed as part of the S1 package (which I post against my better judgment).

Please provide feedback on the sleeves!
Adaptive or passive dampers?

Adaptive. Will do. Install is probably a few weeks out.

Finally got this stuff installed, all part of the S1 package.
Engine – definitely more power there. Feels like much more to me. I do not have dyno #s to back it up and have no desire to do so. As others have noted, midrange is great, but it also seems to rev to redline more willingly. Power delivery feels no different than stock. Just more cow bell. The Dinan exhaust is rather tame. It is maybe a bit louder than stock, but marginally. I do like the tone. Suspension – front feels stiffer and better planted. The ride is very comfortable and livable for a daily driver. I bought the M car and don’t need a plush ride, but would still consider this comfortable. My wife did not complain about the ride, and that’s my litmus test… Drop – not a huge drop, but looks much better. The front rubs a bit on driveways so need to be careful. Just based on that, I would not want to go lower. No tire rubbing with 265/295 30s. The car feels faster (I think much faster). I can get the power down way better than stock. That could be the suspension upgrade, or could be the tires (or a bit of both). Combination of more power and hooking better makes the car feel so much faster to me. One thing I noticed, when I do loose all traction in first or second, the car's behavior is a bit less manic. Again, don't know if this is the suspension upgrade, the tires, both, or placebo. Just seems a lot more manageable when the tires let go. Overall - couldn’t be happier.

I did not have them do that. I will before I head to the track. Before I do that I'm looking into some driving school options. Besides, I really didn't want to spend anymore time in my Hyundai rental. Jenny zone my ass.
