Getting out of an M lease early. Possible?
Been looking at an X6M and currently drive an M5. Have 11 months left on the lease and was curious if BMWFS is ever flexible about getting you out of your lease and into another lease early. I've heard of pull-ahead programs, but I think that it is typically 6 months out and not for M cars. I also know you can just payoff the lease and do whatever you wish with it, but most of the time there is some negative equity involved. I'll well under my mileage quota. I don't want to do swapalease or leasetrader. Just throwing some ideas out there on a boring, rainy day. And I see some leftover 2015 X6m's going for good prices.

I was/am in a similar situation. I have an M5 that I love but now need an AWD car. I have 18 mo left in my lease and just found someone from the forums to take over my lease. The deal was done in a week and the other party will pick up my M5 this week and I pick up my new X5M Monday. It's a win-win because the other person wanted a car spec'd just like mine and I was able to transfer the lease with no further obligations.
Since you have less time on your lease you might be able to work out something with the dealer or as the link described for the M3. |

11 months left on my M5 lease and I was just at my dealership looking at an X5M. Pull ahead is absolutely available on M cars, but that is usually within 6 months of end of lease.
I'm gonna wait it out a couple more months. When the lease on my M3 ended I had positive equity of about 5k, so that was nice.

Same as trade in a car, whatever they value yours and the difference between the payoff. I traded in my 13' 750 7 months before lease end and lucky made it a wash

I'll likely make some calls to the dealer and to BMWFS to gauge my options. There are a few 2015 X6m's on the lot that I'm sure they are dying to get rid of. |

You can also try to appraise the car at Carmax, their price is usually higher than dealer trade in value, but if you show the Carmax appraisal, most dealer will do the price match.
