MPE lease/buy
So can someone explain to me (I've tried searching already) why it's a good idea to go ahead and get the MPE at port vs later. Only issue I'm running into is I'm not sure if I want to buy or lease, which obviously dictates this issue.
Ughhhh, lease or buy? #firstworldproblems

Therefore, eve if you buy instead of leasing, it's a better idea to get it installed at the port because of the labor savings |

Port install all of the expensive parts. Risidualize them so that you aren't paying full price for them. Plus I find port installed options are put on and fitted better than at some dealerships. You also don't pay an install fee, and if you aren't going to keep your car after the lease then no point in paying $4k+ for something when you can pay just over $2k.

how does MPE compare to dinan ? Regarding labor savings for port installed accessory is a great point and never thought of it.

What you should do is see how much used ones sell for, subtract that from your purchase price + install. Then figure out how much port installed comes out to over the term of your lease.
See which is better.

Forgive my ignorance but MPE with carbon tips run about 5800ish. Is that a full system?

Don't forget that if it is port installed, then it becomes part of the new car 4yr/50k warranty.

If the port installs the MPE do you still get to keep the stock exhaust? Or do they keep it at the port?
I would hope that you get to keep it.

...unfortunately no... just axle back... For $6k, you can get a full system including downpipes... ActiveAutowerke for instance... MPE is great, but considering what you get, it's way expensive.
