Camber plate suggestions for non-coilover setup

Hi - I am running swift springs and want to get camber plates (F) for the casual track days.

Do you guys recommend vorschlag? GC?

Vorshlag and GC are two of the most common for our cars and both are good choices to go with. Vorshlag seems to be a more robust unit though.

Depending on how much camber you need, Dinan fixed camber plates may work for you

Dinan raises the suspension a small amount and lacks the range of adjustability the others have which are drawbacks in my opinion.

Casual? I'd maybe go Dinan. If you want to screw with your tie rods (which is easy on the E9X)...get the Vorshlag.

I had the GC's and they required annual maintenance because it has a roller bearing. Otherwise you get a whole bunch of clunking. Maintenance is removing the plate, complete disassembly, clean, and relube. Not worth it when I know the Vorshlag plates in my E46 haven't needed anything over the past 7 years except for a spring perch (new struts).

Let's not forget the bolt plate which failed the first time I torqued the tower nut.

do the Vorshlag plates raise the suspension at all or keep the same front ride height? Wouldnt mind extra camber for the few years it will take me to save for clubsports.

I would recommend vorshlag also. Had them on edc and worked great no maintenance. If I remember right they raised ever so slightly.

Is there increased NVH with the Vorshlag?

i have the ground control adjustables for my edc car. i'm happy with them. my car sees track days and the streets. haven't had issues yet. no negatives to report, no noticeable difference in ride height.

I just installed the Ground Control last week on stock edc shocks. No noise or ride height changes. Cleaned the factory lube off the bearings and used Mobil 1 grease right off the bat.

Are these the street or race GC camber plates? I am really concerned about noise and maintenance.

I am running the street camber plates from GC along with custom springs from them, no issues so far and install was super easy.

Thanks Joe. I see those are made of poly. Nice. What are your chosen spring rates, and how's the handling improved for you? Do you track the beast?

No track time yet but have an autoX event in a few weeks. I did the GC coil conversion kit with 450lb front and 600lb rear springs. Awesome guys over there, talked to them about my set up and goals and they helped steer me in the right direction. Car is barely lower than stock.

Is there a difference between camber plates from GC, TCK, Vorshlag that change the level of maintenance or potential squeaking? I see some using urethane, some spherical bearings? How often do we have to change the bearings if we track 8-10 times a year?
