Dinan tune
If you were in the market for an aftermarket ECU tune, would you purchase the Dinan tune if it was on sale for half the price of all the other tunes? The Dinan tune is currently on sale for half the cost.
I know that they are not as aggressive in regards to performance as the other great tuners on this site, but the price is really eating at me atm. Basically, I can purchase test pipes and a Dinan tune for the price of a normal tune from any other tuner and lose a few HP. What would you do? |

Nearly $600 for - The combination of Dinan's re-calibration of ignition timing, fuel delivery, and cam timing produce a maximum gain of 9 hp @ 6000 rpm and 8 lb-ft @ 6000 RPM. Peak horsepower is increased from 414 to 421 at 7900 RPM.
I'd personally get a BPM tune for the additional features and the best customer service in the business.

Man, thanks for the fast reply. BPM was number 1 on my list until I saw the sale price. I guess I should have gone with my instincts which was to go BPM, but I wanted to hear what others had to say before I pulled the trigger.

I'd look at the BPM stage 2 tune package with test pipes for the biggest gains.

a few years ago i might have said go for it, but the recommendation based on customer service alone is worth it to go with bpm. you get way more with the bpm tune as well. dinan isn't worth it at all to me compared to the competition.

I dunno, $600 for 9 horsepower at WOT near redline doesn't seem worth it. I doubt you'd even feel 9hp when you have over 400 from the factory (that's like 2%). Around town at partial throttle it's probably going to feel the same as stock.

Bpm tune all day over Dinan. Mike has everything you need, then some.

I agree, BPM stage 2 tune with HFC x-pipe gives crazy performance gains! Catless may give even more benefit but don't want all those fumes.
