Euro Trip Short Summary

I have been a long time lurker on the forums. I have asked many of you questions about the various options and colors you chose for your Ms and why you chose them. I would like to thank everyone for their responses as that really helped me in my quest for my perfect F80.

I'm still working on downloading the rest of pictures from my recent euro delivery but here are a couple from the Welt. I picked up my SO M3 on April 7 and dropped it off at the LoginOut on April 12th

During our trip my wife and I visited Munich of course along with visits to Stuttgart, Strasbourg, Paris(via bullet train from Strasbourg) and last but not least Nurburgring for a few tourist laps. Overall the trip was amazing and unforgettable. I would highly encourage anyone thinking about doing a ED to do it!

Now I have a long 6-8 week wait until I see my Sakhira(lame nickname I gave her) again.

Build:

2016 F80 M3
Sakhir Orange
SpeedCloth Interior
6MT
BLK 437s
Adapt Sus
Lighting Package

They look like the winter setup to me either 640 or 641.
Did it snow there last week to need winters? Congrats on the car btw, looks awsome.

Yep. Looked it up. Most likely the 19" 641M. These are really nice for a winter setup.

Yup winter rentals. Per the euro delivery recommendation due to my ED falling on the last week of winter. I didn't have to worry about damaging my 437s or tire wear on the Ring so i was okay with it.

Beautiful! I am always a sucker for a good SO ED pic

Btw, i'm not sure what the going turnaround time is now, but when I took ED this time last year, my M was delivered 4 weeks and 3 days after I dropped it off. And that's to PA.

Very speedy turnaround....made for one very happy camper here that got to enjoy a pretty full summer in the M.

Don't tease me with such quick turnaround time talk. lol I don't want to get my hopes up. As long as I get it in May I would be satisfied.

I think I may be closer to your timeline. My ship (Thalatta) should be pulling into NJ Friday so if I could get it by 20 May that would put me at 5 weeks plus a few days. That would be awesome if it works out that way!

For others reading this thread - there are NO winter tire ED requirements.
It is entirely up to you to have your ED car equipped with the appropriate tires for the weather conditions.

BTDT.
December ED delivery, temps in the 50s-60s, on summer PSS's.

YMMV,

I dropped off in Munich on 4/11 and the car arrived at the NJ port on 5/5. Still waiting for ag clearance though...

Well that news doesn't help my wishful timeline.
