Question New to BMW's, have a question about a noise the car makes

Hello,

Just picked up a 2016 Sdrive 235i X5 M Sport. When the car has sat overnight and I hit "unlock" on the remote I can hear something humming for about 10 seconds. Is that the fuel pump priming itself? Car doesn't have air suspension or anything and I am trying to figure out what is causing the noise.

Thanks!

Print it, by all means, but don't show her unless you are fully prepared for it to be the one and only time you are right!

Also tell her that small button right below the volume control is a passenger side seat ejection button.

Seriously. What is the small button right below the volume control? I don't remember it on my E70 X5 and X6.

Ever since the N54 engine came out and it had a history of the long crank issues with the HPFP (high pressure), BMW started priming that pump with the LPFP (low pressure) on all their turbo engines after a software update circa 2009-2010 from what I remember.
