I am putting together an f80 build and was wondering what options would be best for a negligible drop. Very minimal, no spacers. The look I am trying to achieve is below. I realize it is a stock photo, but clearly the car sits somewhat lower than in the flesh.

That's really not a very helpful post. Without providing info on spring rate how's he going to know how fat they need to be and where to seat them.

Your best bet for the price would be to do a KW H.A.S setup. It is adjustable from Front: 0.6-1.2
Rear: 0.2-1.2. This will allow u to achieve your ideal drop

Standard springs being the cheapest have a set drop of around 1.2 inches and from the looks of ur photo that may be too low of a drop for u

I know with Dinan coilovers you can leave it at stock height or drop from 0 to 1.0 inch

BMW is coming out with an adjustable M Performance coilover system that works with the adaptive suspension.
