Any Dinan Quarter Mile times
Does anyone have a quartermile time with a Dinan only tune? We have talked lots about tunes, but which ones actually prove to be the fastest?
Many other assumptions considered. |

Dinan and RC "should" run 11.9 at 116mph out of the box on a cool, low AD day. Gets hot they'll go low 12's. Gets cold possibly 11.8's. They will be very close since they both add ~ 3 psi.
If you start adding more boost to the RC...... |

That is KILLER. Looks like the track was not holding your power that night. Your 60's show 11.8 runs right there.
I am always amazed how much power these rides make and can be tweaked to add so much more. Camo Supercars ! |

I briefly raced a Lamborghini murcielago and unfortunately i did not shift properly otherwise i will be 1/2 a car length behind!! I am running stock 100% i am sure he would have passed me down the road easily but up to 110 miles... we are super close

Hi Ryngo, I was wondering if the ATCO track you were at is in New Jersey, as that track is 33 feet above sea level. Getting the DA to 2000 feet above sea level at that track seems difficult. That would mean that my truck running 12.15 at 3000 above sea level should do 11.5 in New Jersey.
I was wondering which Density Altitude calculator you were using to see if the one I am using is correct. There are lots of math and some assumptions behind these calculators. Here is the calculator that use: https://www.dragtimes.com/da-density...calculator.php Thanks |

http://airdensityonline.com/tracks/ Is decent. ATCO was over 2000 today. I take a Kestrel and an Altronics with me to the track. Boosted cars are a little tougher to "adjust" than NA. Generally causes an argument. LOL. I've seen roughly 0.10 per 1000 ft but you can not apply that at different tracks. Just the same track as rollout, timing marks, track slope, etc make a Huge difference. I took one of my cars with a gates only tune to Bristol and ran 9.6's at 140mph. Next weekend went to Rockingham and ran 9.1 at 145 on gates. The DA was only 1800 feet better at the Rock, but there are major track differences.

HI Ryngo and Onfire, yup, I doubted you and I am now corrected. I didn't think Atco could get that high. I still like dragtimes.com DA as it allows you to go back in time and choose a date for your calculation. However, I do like the simplicity of airdensity online. Thanks for sharing.
