F10 Diff Problem
Hi Guys,
Over the last few months I have been experiencing issues with the diff on my F10 M5. On light acceleration going around a traffic circle or corner the car oversteers quite dramatically until the DSC kicks in, cuts engine power and flashes like crazy. Always a right turn. On hard acceleration in a straight line I get a shuddering from the rear end as though I am driving over rumble strips and occasionally a desire for the car to turn right like there is only traction on the left wheel. When I turn left and accelerate lightly all is 'normal'. Had it at BMW and they blame / believe it is my tyres but they are a year old and in equally the same good condition. My view is that there is only drive on the left rear wheel but I need some help or guidance on how to prove this to BMW or experience on the cause of the problem. Thanks!! |

Swap tyres around? or ask the dealer to put some wheels of a sales car to test- doesn't have to be the same size or ratings, just need to prove this low speed issue.
