2016 iDrive Updates

Does anyone have any idea whether or not BMW will send out any updates to the older version of iDrive on the 2016's?

OP, are you asking whether 2016 NBT EVO will be updated to iDrive 5.0? No is the simple answer.

Oddly I didn't get any notification about your mention.

Was more curious if they would release another update to the currently system. Heard 5.0 has better voice recognition and I wasn't sure if that would be passed down

depends on how define updates...
will they still fix bugs and make minor changes as part of the lifecycle - yes they will.
will you get the new features specific to idrive 5 - no

Awesome. The minor bugs and fixes is good to hear. Definitely not expecting 5.0
