rear ac
Hey does anyone know how to default the rear ac to off?
Seems like everytime I start the car, the rear ac is on. My old x5 I could turn it off and it stays off. It's hellfire hot here in southern CA and I don't have any rear passengers! Is it code-able?

Hmm. Cant say that I remember. I don't think it did in my '13 model, but I haven't owned this '16 very long. Someone will chime in that knows for sure and if not, I will check mine in the morn. I can say that it seems the '16 doesn't put out the amount of air up front that my '13 did even with the rear shut off, but maybe its the smaller sized vents of the '16 tricking me. |

Hi guys,
I was facing the same exact problem, especially due to where I live the average temperature during the summer season is around 120 F. So what I did is as follow : -Make sure the SYNC button is off. -in the idrive setting menu untick the rear ac option. And this should do it as it has work just fine with my vehicle. |

Well that's a tricky throw in there, but at least its an easy fix. I wish they would have piped in cold air for the "ventilated" seats. Maybe they get to that in another two platforms?

Yes that's the exact location of the said button, also make sure you don't switch on the sync button or else it will turn on all the four zones as it will override your pre-sets.
