Strange Humming

Not really sure where to post this, but this morning when I unlocked the car (by placing my hand on the door handle), there was a strange humming noise coming from the engine bay.

I locked the car and did it again and heard the same noise. It sounded like some motor or mechanism was working (assuming something related to the unlocking of the doors). It stayed on for quite a bit (at least more than I think it should've).

Sorry for giving a very poor description, I just don't know how else to describe it.

Any insight?

You need to install module P/N 123456 (aka "The Words") so you car doesn't have to hum.

j/k. It is likely the fuel pump priming or perhaps your headlights coming on. I know the LED's have a cooling fan in them that runs when the lights are on. If you have HID's it could be the ballasts.

Haha. Thanks. I don't have the LEDs, so its not that. Appreciate the insight.

I thought that on locking (well, about 10 to 30 seconds afterwards) our cars closed some of the vents to prevent dust and crap entering the cabin, and this was merely those vents opening again?
