Question to those using blend mount for RD

I originally was looking at integrating an escort 9500ci detector and laser shifter until I was shocked by the $4k estimate. So I am now considering going the route of a blend mount (there is no way in hades I would go with a windshield/suction cup config) but have reservations due to the impact to the field of view. I already find that the mirror is lower than most vehicles I own and already semi-obstructs the view toward the 2 o'clock position. Adding a blend mount would permanently obstruct this view angle and would be concerned this would be a hazard. Can anyone using a blend mount comment on if this is a real issue?

Quite a few of us have them, they look good and work great. They don't affect my field of view at all personally. Pics of a few in this thread

Personally, I've always preferred mounting them above the mirror. Perfectly discrete, and out of the way.

I was quoted that same amount in NorCal. If you can make your was to SoCal, try Delray Customs, Al & Eds Autosource in Marina Delray.

I had full stealth install of 9500ci plus full ceramic tint plus UV windshield tint plus install of IND black chrome cosmetic package including tail pipes for significantly less than that. The even offered me a rental car overnight. In just 24 hours I had the car back.
