Fall Road Trip up to VT - Recommendations?
I plan on taking the ///M on a fall cruise up to VT and hope to catch some nice colors and scenery. I've never been to VT (last state I'm missing out of New England) and was looking for recommendations on places to stay. My preference is to stay at a Bed and Breakfast (the GF will be coming w/) and somewhere that offers decent hikes/ sight seeing nearby.
Also, when do the fall colors typically peak up there? Thanks

Smugglers Notch is a great place to go and the drive up there is very pretty. Hiking trails galore and some good golf(if you can get the girl to go!) check out smuggs.com for more info the condos are great and really well sized if you upgrade your room to a suite/condo unit. Have fun!

Thanks for the suggestion. I now have a place in mind to stay for the weekend. I'm considering the last weekend in September. Too early for fall colors?

I have been there both over labor day and over columbus day and labor day is much nicer...the weather over Columbus day last year was 40-50s and there was a small snow squall! You should get some fall colors in later Sept. and hopefully the weather would be in the 60s.
