pluging runflat
I know its been discussed, so it comes down to if it's on the side, you don't want to plug, if its in the center - you could.
I went to Firestone, they said they could plug runflat, if there is no fine print on the tire. But there was (Pirelli saying they don't recommend repairing or something), so they chicken out. I'll try Les Schwab tomorrow. What if no luck with Les Shwab? Other thing, how to plug? You can patch it from inside, put mushroom plug from inside, plug from outside, etc. Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Run Flat 255/50 R19 107H M+s |

If you are handy enough, they are DIY-able.
You just need to have compressor and the plug kit from Autoparts Store. Every each of my cars, I have those plug kit. Very easy to do, happened to my E60 BMW, luckily it was the front tire. So I can do it on the spot, just full turn on the steering wheel and plug away.

Believe the "official" version is you need to both plug and patch it from inside.

Plug is the new way to fix nailed tire. Cheaper and more efficient way. The patch is an old school way, where you need to dismount the tire, sand the inner surface of the tire, glue, patch, and wait for it to dry before remount. Sometime it may require some clamping and heating to get the patch to cure faster and stays in place.

I always do both. The hole is basically cleaned up with the plug and the patch makes it solid on the inside.

^^^ This is common practice. I'm not sure I'd trust just the plugs. I carry a plug kit and 12v compressor for emergencies, but I'd always do the inner patch for a permanent fix.
