BMW Laptimer Integration With GoPro

So - I have tried to connect my GoPro and M Laptimer to work simultaneously on the car. My iPhone is connected to the car through a USB cable. When ConnectedDrive is up - I will sometimes get a message on my iPhone saying that GoPro wants to open M Laptimer. When I select "Agree," Laptimer opens, but GoPro Closes.

On the other hand, if M Laptimer is open first and I try to open GoPro, then M Laptimer closes.

Bottom line - I'm looking for any kind of instructions (which I cannot find anywhere on the internet, whether BMW's website or GoPro's) which would allow the simultaneous recording of GoPro with M Laptimer data (just like the press release videos from April 2016 show).
