Did the F15/F16 ever have illuminated center console?
I installed the X6 Black Dakota Leather knee pads over the weekend. Mod went great.
In the process, I noticed part number 1 in this diagram: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=51_9178 (51169252108) ...has a provision for an LED light that would light up the center console. I have found a few rolling changes (de-contenting) over the model years. Was there ever an LED light that mounted in there (see right hand side of the part)? I think the E70 had one.

If you're talking about the illuminated ring, I think the car already has it for some of the 12V sockets, just not the on in the center console.

if ur talking about the square hole found on part 1, that hole is where the USB and AUX in socket goes, not for an LED light

Nope, not the spot for USB. Directly to the right of that opening, there is a molded shroud that looks like it is made to accept a small light bulb assembly.
