I do believe the Canadian one is a private sale.

I don't believe these are "dealers" selling.

I just came back from my dealer and a sales manager told me they are not allowed to sell the cars above MSRP.

They even have an "un-sold" GTS coming. Apparently, the original person who had been approved by BMW Canada was caught placing an add with his VIN with a significant mark-up. He lost his allocation and hence why the dealer has one un-sold coming (they kept the allocation). For sale at MSRP for those interested .

The dealer can get into "big" trouble for this...

That M4 GTS ad was also the talk of the day at my dealership.

One the Toronto dealers had one available a week ago and they sold it within 3 hours with a significant markup.I am trying to buy a GT350R and the dealers are $15000 over list even on an ordered car.Normal Gt350's are at list.

My dealer sold their last allocation for way over msrp. Another dealer here is also asking over 200k for it too.

With personal experience I can tell you these cars aren't selling for anywhere near these asking prices.

I think you should, you will not regret. A M4 GTS is around 40K more than a regular fully loaded M4. Take into consideration of the resell value down the road and it comes fully modded from BMW with factory warranty. Its really a no brainer.

I was just kidding. My dealer offered me a GTS allocation when they first came out. I was very tempted, but my M4 is also my DD, so I need the 4 seats for the kids. I am eagerly waiting for the specs of the rumored CS or whatever its gonna be called. It looks like it will be retaining a bit more practicality.

Price could vary by color as well.

Not to say your white one didn't look great, but the GTS' signature color probably has a wider appeal.

A lot of ppl out there would not want the hassle of frozen paint. I am one of them.

I think he was in a rush to sell it and was not willing to wait for the right offer. I also think that ppl would be more willing to buy it brand new from the dealet rather than a used one if they had a choice.

I noticed he also had ALL his windows tinted. It would be a nightmare trying to remove the tint film will the roll cage in the way.

BMW dealers in the U.S. are allowed to charge whatever they want. This was confirmed by my Sales Manager.

I know. BJ is by far the largest BMW dealer in Canada.

I am sure a lot of dealers already complained to BMW Canada

As long as it is fully disclosed on the Bill of Sale that there is additional markup a dealer can do what ever they want on pricing in Canada with no issues from either Regulatory or Manufacturer.
